Sausage & Shrimp Pastalaya

Method:
Sautee onions & butter until onions are clear. Add slice sausage & brown. Add seasoned shrimp & cook until shrimp are cooked. Add tomato sauce & tomato paste. Add 1 can of water. Cover & cook for approx. 30 mins. on medium low. Add a pinch of baking soda to reduce acidity.
Bring water (with 1 tbsp cooking oil) to a rolling boil. Add pasta, stir. When water starts to boil again, boil for 1 min. Turn heat off-cover to let sit for 15 mins. Drain & rinse.
Add pasta to tomato mixture. Fold mixture so pasta does not break. Let sit for 10-15 mins. You can add cheese if you desire.

Cake Mix Cookies

  • 1 Box dry cake mix
  • ˝ cup cooking oil
  • 2 whole eggs
  • Method:
    Stir mixture – Add extra ingredients of choice. Recipe for today, we used chocolate cake mix. Then we added 1 cup chopped pecans and 1 cup butterscotch chips. Drop by spoonfuls on greased pan. Bake for 10 mins. at 350 degrees. Let cool completely on pan
